About L. R. Wright

Laurali Rose "Bunny" Wright (1939–2001) was a Canadian author best known for her mystery novels set on British Columbia's coast, particularly the Karl Alberg series beginning with The Suspect (1985), which won the Edgar Award for Best Novel—the first for a Canadian writer. She also penned mainstream fiction like Neighbours (1979) and received Arthur Ellis Awards for A Chill Rain in January (1990) and Mother Love (1995), along with the Canadian Authors Association Literary Prize.
