About Koji Suzuki

Koji Suzuki is a Japanese author best known for Ring, the novel that inspired the Ring horror franchise including the films Ringu and The Ring. He won the Shirley Jackson Award for Novel for Edge (2012). He is regarded as the 'Stephen King of Japan' and is one of the most internationally successful Japanese horror authors. Born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka in 1957, Suzuki studied French literature at Keio University. Ring was published in Japan in 1991 and translated into English in 2003. Edge, a thriller about the universe's mysteries, was translated into English by Camellia Nieh. Suzuki continues to publish prolifically in Japan. His works have been translated into numerous languages and adapted into films and television series worldwide.
