Kiese Laymon

Kiese Laymon (born 1974) is an American writer born in Jackson, Mississippi, known for his novel Long Division and memoirs Heavy: An American Memoir—which won the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction and Los Angeles Times Book Prize—and How to Slowly Kill Yourself and Others in America.
