Kerry Howley (born 1981) is an American essayist, staff writer at New York magazine, former professor at the University of Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program, and screenwriter best known for her literary nonfiction books Thrown (2014), a New York Times Notable Book, and Bottoms Up and the Devil Laughs (2023), a New York Times Top Ten Book of the Year and National Book Critics Circle Award finalist.
