Keith Boykin (born 1965) is an American author, commentator, and former White House aide to President Bill Clinton, best known for his non-fiction works exploring Black LGBTQ+ experiences, race, and politics, including the New York Times bestseller Beyond the Down Low: Sex, Lies, and Denial in Black America and his 2024 book Why Does Everything Have to Be About Race?. He has received multiple Lambda Literary Award nominations, a win for For Colored Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Still Not Enough, and the American Library Association Stonewall Award for Nonfiction.
