About Kazushige Abe

Kazushige Abe (born September 23, 1968, in Higashine, Yamagata) is a Japanese novelist who debuted with Amerika no Yoru (1994), winning the Gunzo New Writers' Prize, and has since authored notable works including Nipponia Nippon, Grand Finale, and Pistols. His achievements include the Akutagawa Prize (2005) for Grand Finale, Tanizaki Prize (2010) for Pistols, Sei Ito Prize, Mainichi Culture Award, and Noma Literary New Face Prize.
