Katie Kitamura

Katie Kitamura is an American novelist born in 1979. Her debut novel The Longshot (2009) was followed by Gone to the Forest (2012). A Separation (2017) was a New York Times Notable Book. Intimacies (2021) was a finalist for the Joyce Carol Oates Prize and longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction. Audition (2025) was shortlisted for the 2025 Booker Prize. Kitamura is a professor at New York University.
