About K. M. Soehnlein
K. M. (Karl) Soehnlein (born November 24, 1965) is an American novelist best known for The World of Normal Boys (2000), which won the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Men's Fiction, along with You Can Say You Knew Me When (2005), Robin and Ruby (2010), and Army of Lovers (2022). He has received additional honors including the 2024 Jim Duggins Outstanding Mid-Career Novelist Prize from the Lambda Literary Foundation, IPPY Award for LGBTQ+ Fiction, and Henfield Prize for short fiction, and teaches in the MFA Writing Program at the University of San Francisco.
