Juan José Millás

Juan José Millás (born January 31, 1946, in Valencia, Spain) is a renowned Spanish writer and journalist known for blending reality with surrealism in his psychological novels and short stories, inventing the hybrid genre "articuento." His most notable works include La soledad era esto (1990), Dos mujeres en Praga (2002), and El mundo (2007), and he has received prestigious awards such as the Premio Nadal, Premio Planeta, and Premio Nacional de Narrativa. He remains active, contributing columns to El País and publishing new works as recently as 2025.
