About Jose Alcina Franch
José Alcina Franch (1922-2001) was a prominent Spanish anthropologist, archaeologist, ethnologist, and historian specializing in the human settlement of the Americas. He held key positions including director of the Department of Anthropology and Ethnology of America at Complutense University of Madrid and authored notable works such as Manual de arqueología americana (1965), Origen transatlántico de la cultura indígena de América (1969), and Arte y Antropología (1982).
