About José Jiménez Lozano
José Jiménez Lozano (1930-2020) was a Spanish writer, journalist, and essayist born in Langa, Ávila, who explored religious, historical, and social themes in his works, often drawing from Castilian landscapes and Inquisition-era events. He worked as a journalist at El Norte de Castilla and co-founded the Las Edades del Hombre exhibition. His major achievement was winning the Miguel de Cervantes Prize in 2002, the highest honor in Spanish-language literature.
