José Cabanis

José Cabanis (1922-2000) was a French novelist, essayist, lawyer, and member of the Académie française elected in 1990. Born in Toulouse, he authored notable works including La Bataille de Toulouse (Prix Renaudot 1966) and received the Grand Prix de littérature de l'Académie française in 1976 for his body of work.
