About Jonathan Weiner

Jonathan Weiner (born 1953) is an American author of acclaimed nonfiction science books on topics including evolution, genetics, and immortality. His most notable work, The Beak of the Finch (1994), won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction in 1995 and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Science in 1994, while Time, Love, Memory (1999) earned the National Book Critics Circle Award. He serves as the Maxwell M. Geffen Professor of Medical and Scientific Journalism at Columbia University.
