John Connell (born 1986) is an award-winning Irish author, journalist, playwright, and farmer from County Longford, Ireland, best known for his memoir The Cow Book (also published as The Farmer's Son), which became a #1 bestseller and won the 2018 An Post Irish Book Award for Popular Non-Fiction Book of the Year. His other notable works include Twelve Sheep, The Running Book, and his debut novel The Ghost Estate.
