Joe Sacco

Joe Sacco is a Maltese-American comics journalist and cartoonist born in 1960, renowned as a pioneer of comics journalism through his immersive reporting on conflict zones. His most notable works include Palestine, Safe Area Goražde, Footnotes in Gaza, The Fixer, and Paying the Land, which have earned him the American Book Award, Eisner Award, Ridenhour Book Prize, and Guggenheim Fellowship, among others.
