About Jiaming Tang
Jiaming Tang is a queer Chinese immigrant writer based in Brooklyn, New York, best known for his debut novel Cinema Love (2024), a tender epic exploring queer lives in rural China and Chinese immigrant experiences in New York’s Chinatown. The novel won the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Prize for First Fiction, the Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction, and the Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBTQ Fiction, and was a finalist for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction; he is also a 2022-23 Center for Fiction Emerging Writer Fellow and 2024 Kenyon Review Fellow.Penguin Random House, Ohio State University, Publishers Weekly
