Armentrout (born June 11, 1980) is an American author known for her work in young adult fantasy, paranormal romance, new adult, and contemporary romance genres, writing under the pseudonym J. Lynn for adult titles. She achieved major success with #1 New York Times bestselling series such as Lux (starting with Obsidian), Covenant, Blood and Ash (From Blood and Ash winning the 2020 Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance), and others like Wait for You and The Problem with Forever (2017 RITA Award winner). A hybrid author published by HarperCollins, Disney/Hyperion, and others, she lives in West Virginia and founded ApollyCon.
