Jennifer Dawson

Jennifer Dawson (1929–2000) was an English novelist whose works primarily explored themes of mental illness and societal attitudes toward it. She achieved early acclaim with her debut novel The Ha-Ha (1961), winner of the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, and Fowler's Snare (1962), which earned the Cheltenham Festival Award; other notable works include The Cold Country (1965) and Judasland (1989).
