Jeffrey Zuckerman

Jeffrey Zuckerman is an American translator of French literature, including contemporary fiction from mainland France and Mauritius and queer writers such as Jean Genet and Hervé Guibert. A recipient of the PEN/Heim Translation Grant, the French Voices Grand Prize, and an NEA Translation Fellowship, he has been named a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. His translation of Karim Kattan's Eden at Dawn was longlisted for the 2026 National Book Award for Translated Literature.
