Jeff Noon (born 1957) is a British novelist, short story writer, and playwright known for speculative fiction incorporating word play and fantasy elements, often set in versions of Manchester. His most notable work, Vurt (1993), won the Arthur C. Clarke Award, and he received the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer; other key works include Pollen (1995), Automated Alice (1996), and the Nyquist Mysteries series.
