About Jean Sprackland
Jean Sprackland (born 1962) is an English poet and writer, author of five poetry collections including the Costa Poetry Award-winning Tilt (2007) and Green Noise (2018), as well as prose works like Strands (Portico Prize 2012) and These Silent Mansions. Originally from Burton upon Trent, she studied at the University of Kent, served as Chair of the Poetry Archive (2016-2020), and is Professor of Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
