About Jean Fritz
Jean Fritz (1915-2017) was an acclaimed American children's author best known for her engaging biographies of American historical figures, such as And Then What Happened, Paul Revere?, What's the Big Idea, Ben Franklin?, and Traitor: The Case of Benedict Arnold. Her memoir Homesick: My Own Story earned a Newbery Honor and National Book Award, while she received the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal (now Children's Literature Legacy Award) in 1986 for her career contributions to children's literature.
