Jane Urquhart (born June 21, 1949) is a Canadian novelist and poet renowned for her evocative works blending historical and contemporary themes, including notable novels such as The Whirlpool (Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger), Away (Trillium Award), The Underpainter (Governor General's Literary Award), The Stone Carvers (Giller Prize finalist), and Sanctuary Line (Giller Prize finalist).
