About James Schuyler
James Marcus Schuyler (1923–1991) was an American poet, a central figure in the New York School alongside John Ashbery and Frank O'Hara. Born in Chicago and raised partly in New York, he worked as W. H. Auden's secretary in Italy, curated at the Museum of Modern Art, and lived with painter Fairfield Porter's family. Guinevere.Poets.org
