James McMichael

James L. McMichael (born 1939) is an American poet and educator from Pasadena, California. He earned a PhD from Stanford University and taught as Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Irvine. His notable works include the National Book Award finalist Capacity (2006), and he has received awards such as Guggenheim and Whiting Fellowships.
