About James Maker

James Maker is a British singer, lyricist, writer, and occasional actor best known for his award-winning memoir Autofellatio: A Memoir (2010), which chronicles his life from punk-era London through his time with indie band Raymonde, friendship with Morrissey, and relocation to Spain, winning the inaugural Polari First Book Prize in 2011 [The Bookseller, Polari Prize Inkandescent]. He fronted 1980s indie group Raymonde and 1990s hard rock band RPLA, and supported the New York Dolls in 2004 [Goodreads, Polari Magazine].
