About Jacques Morel

Jacques Morel was the pseudonym of French writer Madeleine Paule Gorges (married name Pottier), who authored novels such as Feuilles mortes (1912), winner of the Prix Femina, La Dette (1905), and L'Homme dangereux (1930). Born in Paris in March 1867 and deceased there in December 1949 at age 82, she was married to archaeologist Edmond Pottier and also received the Prix d'Académie for Par un chemin détourné (1927) ), French Wikipedia).
