About Jack N. Rakove
Jack N. Rakove (born June 4, 1947) is an American historian and the W.R. Coe Professor of History and American Studies and professor of political science at Stanford University. Science. He is best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning book Original Meanings: Politics and Ideas in the Making of the Constitution (1996), with other notable works including Revolutionaries: A New History of the Invention of America (2010, George Washington Book Prize finalist) and The Beginnings of National Politics (1979). Stanford. His achievements include membership in the American Philosophical Society (2007) and American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
