Jack Miles

Jack Miles (born 1942) is an American author and scholar best known for his literary treatment of religious texts, particularly God: A Biography, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography in 1996, and subsequent works like Christ: A Crisis in the Life of God and God in the Qur'an. He was also named a MacArthur Fellow in 2002 and served as general editor of The Norton Anthology of World Religions. His writings on religion, politics, and culture have appeared in major publications including The New York Times and The Atlantic.
