Jack McDevitt

Jack McDevitt is an American science fiction author best known for his two popular series: the Alex Benedict series and the Academy (Priscilla Hutchins) series. A former naval officer, customs officer, and English teacher, McDevitt began publishing fiction in the 1980s and has won the Nebula Award. His work frequently explores archaeological mysteries in far-future settings, blending adventure and intellectual speculation.
