J. R. Ward

J. R. Ward, born Jessica Rowley Pell Bird on April 19, 1969, is an American author best known for her Black Dagger Brotherhood paranormal romance series, which has sold over 16 million copies worldwide and appeared multiple times on the New York Times bestseller list, reaching #1 three times. She has won three Romance Writers of America RITA Awards (once as Jessica Bird and twice as J. R. Ward) along with numerous other accolades including RT Book Reviews Reviewers’ Choice Awards and Goodreads Choice Awards. She continues to write extensively in the paranormal romance genre from her home in Louisville, Kentucky.
