J. M. G. Le Clézio

Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio (born 1940) is a French novelist of French, Mauritian, and British nationality, renowned for over forty works exploring humanity beyond modern civilization, including notable novels Le Procès-Verbal (1963) and Désert (1980). He received the Prix Renaudot in 1963 and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2008 for his poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy in writing.
