J. F. McLaughlin is an American author of historical western fiction, best known for his novels chronicling the Arizona Rangers in the early 1900s, including Our Time in the Sun (2011, Bronze Medal Winner in Best Regional Fiction at the Independent Book Awards and Stirrup Award Winner from Western Writers of America) and its sequel Red Sky at Morning (2012 Finalist for Arizona/New Mexico Book Awards).
