About Isabella Hammad

Isabella Hammad is a British-Palestinian novelist born in 1992. Her debut novel The Parisian (2019), about a young Palestinian man educated in France during the late Ottoman period, won the Betty Trask Award, the Palestine Book Award, and the Sue Kaufman Prize. Enter Ghost (2023) was longlisted for the Booker Prize and the Women's Prize for Fiction. Hammad studied at Oxford and Iowa, and is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
