Isaac Butler

Isaac Butler is an American author, journalist, theater director, and podcast host known for his work on theater and performance. His notable books include The Method: How the Twentieth Century Learned to Act, which won the 2022 National Book Critics Circle Award in Nonfiction, and The World Only Spins Forward: The Ascent of Angels in America (co-authored with Dan Kois), named one of NPR's best books of 2018.
