Indigenous Literacy Foundation

Thomas Mayo (born c. 1977) is an Australian human rights advocate, trade union official, and award-winning author of Kaurareg Aboriginal and Kalkalgal, Erubamle Torres Strait Islander descent. A signatory to the Uluru Statement from the Heart, he campaigned for six years for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament until the 2023 referendum defeat. He serves as Assistant National Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia and is a board member of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
