Hugo Williams

Hugo Williams (born February 20, 1942) is an English poet, journalist, and travel writer, son of actor Hugh Williams and actress Margaret Vyner, known for his wry, personal poetry exploring memory, love, and family. His notable works include Billy's Rain (1999, T.S. Eliot Prize winner), Collected Poems (2002), and Love-Life (1979, Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize), with major awards such as the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry (2004), Cholmondeley Award (1971), and Eric Gregory Award (1966).
