About Harvey Cushing

Harvey Williams Cushing (1869-1939) was an American neurosurgeon, pathologist, and author best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning biography Life of Sir William Osler (1925), along with other notable works like Consecratio Medici and Other Papers (1928) and medical monographs; he pioneered brain surgery, described Cushing's disease, and received awards including the Lister Medal (1930).
