Han Nolan

Han Nolan (born 1956) is an American author of young adult fiction, best known for her award-winning novels such as Dancing on the Edge, which won the National Book Award for Young People's Literature in 1997, and other notable works including If I Should Die Before I Wake, Send Me Down a Miracle (National Book Award finalist), Born Blue, and her most recent Running Past Dark (2023). She has published ten young adult novels exploring gritty themes like tolerance, family, mental health, and self-discovery with evocative language and psychological depth. Her achievements include multiple ALA Best Books for Young Adults selections, New York Public Library Books for the Teen Age, and the 2024 Joan F. Kaywell Books Save Lives Award.
