About Ha Jin
Ha Jin (born Xuefei Jin; February 21, 1956) is a Chinese-American author known for his novels and short stories exploring themes of Chinese life, immigration, and personal duty, with notable works including Waiting (1999) and War Trash (2004). He has received major awards such as the National Book Award for Waiting, two PEN/Faulkner Awards (for Waiting and War Trash), and fellowships from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and American Academy of Arts and Letters Boston University.
