Gwyneth Jones (born February 14, 1952, in Manchester, England) is an acclaimed English science fiction and fantasy author, critic, and children's writer under the pseudonym Ann Halam, best known for her Aleutian Trilogy (starting with White Queen) and Bold as Love cycle (starting with Bold as Love, winner of the Arthur C. Clarke Award). She has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Philip K.
