Guy Mazeline

Guy Mazeline (1900-1996) was a French novelist best known for his 1932 novel Les Loups (The Wolves), which controversially won the prestigious Prix Goncourt over Louis-Ferdinand Céline's Voyage au bout de la nuit. Born in Le Havre on April 12, 1900, and passing away in Boulogne-Billancourt on May 25, 1996, he authored numerous novels including Le Capitaine Durban (1934) and Les Îles du matin (1936), though most remain out of print and untranslated into English.
