Guido Piovene (1907-1974) was an Italian writer and journalist known for his novels exploring moral and psychological themes, as well as travel literature documenting post-war Italy. Italian. His most notable works include Lettere di una novizia (1941), Viaggio in Italia (1957), and Le stelle fredde (1970), for which he won the prestigious Premio Strega.Strega Prize, Open Library.
