About Gothataone Moeng
Gothataone Moeng is a Botswana writer born in Serowe, Botswana, who holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Mississippi. She is best known for her debut short story collection Call and Response (2024), which explores the lives of women navigating tradition and modernity in contemporary Botswana, and has received fellowships including the Stegner Fellowship at Stanford and the Whiting Award. Her stories have appeared in publications such as Ploughshares, One Story, and Virginia Quarterly Review.
