About Gordon Grice
Gordon Grice (born 1965 in Guymon, Oklahoma) is an American writer who grew up in rural Oklahoma, earned a BA in English from Oklahoma State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas, and has taught creative writing at institutions including CalArts and UCLA Extension. Known for his nonfiction explorations of predators and dangerous animals, his work has appeared in Harper's, The New Yorker, and Discover, with notable accolades including a 1999 Whiting Award. He lives in Wisconsin with his family and also writes horror stories, poetry, and essays.
