Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa

Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa (1896-1957) was an Italian aristocrat and writer best known for his only novel, Il Gattopardo (The Leopard), published posthumously in 1958, which became a massive bestseller and won the Strega Prize in 1959.
