Gisèle Pelicot

Gisèle Pelicot is a French woman who waived her anonymity at the 2024 Mazan rape trial in Avignon so that, in her words, shame would change sides. Her memoir A Hymn to Life, written with Judith Perrignon, was a finalist for the 2026 Kirkus Prize for Nonfiction.
