Geoffrey C. Ward (born 1940) is an American historian, author, and screenwriter best known for his collaborations with Ken Burns on documentaries such as The Civil War, Baseball, Jazz, and The War, as well as biographies like A First-Class Temperament: The Emergence of Franklin Roosevelt, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award, Francis Parkman Prize, and was a Pulitzer finalist.
