Geoffrey Charles Ryman (born 1951) is a Canadian author of science fiction, fantasy, slipstream, and historical fiction, best known for innovative works like the hypertext novel 253 (1998, Philip K. Dick Award), Air (2005, Arthur C. Clarke and BSFA Awards), and The Child Garden (1989, Arthur C.
