Geneviève Brisac (born October 18, 1951, in Paris) is a French writer, editor, and literary critic known for her novels, short stories, children's literature, and essays. French. She won the prestigious Prix Femina in 1996 for her novel Week-end de chasse à la mère (translated as Losing Eugenio), along with the Prix Roland de Jouvenel in 1988 for Les Filles, and has been honored as Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur (2009) and Commandeur of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2023).
